Our train for Irkutsk departures exactly at 9.25 p.m., not a second later. It consists of 19 carriages incl. a restaurant car and some sort of two stock carriages. “Provodnica” checks our tickets and we can board. But we are totally stunned as soon as we see our compartment.

On train from Moscow to Irkutsk
Srpen 7th, 2009Arrival to Moscow
Červenec 30th, 2009The train to Vienna arrived 10 minutes delayed, but that was fine with us coz we had still more than two hours to reach the Vienna International Airport and catch our Aeroflot SU 264 flight to Moscow. Frankly, I don’t wanna flight with Aeroflot because it is still “Aeroflot” And you know how Aeroflot can be.
Surprisingly, the airport is not comfortable at all due to crazy absence of benches or places to seat. What an insane person could have design such an uninviting building for passengers?
Introduction to Transsiberian Trip

Well, we are going just to Irkutsk near the Lake Baikal, which is around 5.500 km far from Moscow (twice and half as much as from Prague to Portuguese capital Lisabon!). And what is our itinerary?
